The Lowe Art Museum
The most remarkable aspect of Soriano’s work in exile is the absence of rootedness in his imaginary. His unknown universe alludes only to an almost imperceptible sense of belonging. This subject lacks territoriality; he attempts to bestow upon it the sublime shelters he has discovered in the Unconscious. The pictorial world of Soriano is an allegory of pilgrimage that synthesizes the end of borders and the unending sage of displacements. His semiotics become diverse as he enters telluric dimensions and moves eagerly towards uncharted and almost unreachable zones while stroking the fear of emptiness that ails contemporary Mankind.
